This year I will not be participating in the "Portraitiste de France", but I have obtained this title 3 times since 2017, with the honourable mention of which I was very proud in 2021.
If you want to know everything about the competition, here are the details on the FFPMI (French Federation of Photography and Image Professions).
THE "PORTRAITISTE DE FRANCE"
"Created in 1991 by Luc Pouget, the Portraitiste de France's main goal is to allow French professional photographers to measure the quality of their work. It is therefore not a simple competition, but a real qualification and a guarantee of quality for clients.
Every two years, several hundred professional photographers submit their files to a jury composed of renowned photographers, many times "Portraitistes de France", "Meilleurs Ouvriers de France", Qualified European Photographer, among others.
A "Portraitiste de France" file is composed of 12 photos on portraiture, with regularly changing themes.
The choice of photos is imposed by defined themes and the file of each professional photographer is judged according to very precise criteria: Impact, Light, Composition, Framing, Printing etc.
The title of "Portraitiste de France" is therefore a guarantee of quality which allows the client to be sure that the photographer who is going to immortalise moments of life will be the right one and to be reassured as to the quality of the images he will obtain.
Two years ago, here is the file that had to be put together, in order: 1 photo of a pregnant woman accompanied by her partner or her campaign, 1 photo of a child from 1 day to 5 years old, 1 portrait of a person over 60 years old, 1 family photo or group of at least 4 people, 1 corporate/professional portrait in a studio, 3 free photos in a studio or outdoors and 4 couple photos outdoors.
I am very grateful to my models: Maud & Quentin, Laetitia, Dania & Anaud, Simon & Jennifer, Solène & Clément, Yaëlle, Roxanne, Sabrina and all the family, Bernard, Bertrand and his trumpet, Dominik and Danielle for their involvement, their confidence, and their permission to use their photos!
